MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Brow

Honestly, I don’t see the point of wearing makeup to the beach. I’m fortunately not a celebrity nor a model so I can live with that I guess. I was actually hesitant to buy this brow product because 1) it’s touted as waterproof and 2) it’s in liquid form that dries quickly. I already have a hard time working on not being late every day, and I didn’t think having to use makeup remover and redoing my makeup would be beneficial to my time.

However, I do have the tendency to just do my brows on lazy days.. and an unfortunate habit of rubbing off parts of my eyebrows before I remember I drew them there. So I threw my reservations out the window and bought this!

What I like the most about this product is that a little goes a long way. For regular days, I only have to use a pea-sized amount and it’s already good enough for both eyebrows. Of course, the case is different when I have to go to parties (where I know I will be photographed and that I’ll be staying out later than usual) – I put on twice the amount which still isn’t a lot. It retails around Php 1,500 (yes, it’s expensive), but it will last you for a while. You’d need a makeup remover as well before going to bed since it’s water proof and as much as it would be nice to wake up with your brows already on, it’s not really the best thing to do to your skin.

One of my concerns is about it drying up before I get the chance to blend it in was remedied by keeping my brows maintained. By doing so, I only ever spend a little time lining my brows because I only had to follow its shape before filling it in. So overall, I would definitely buy this again. A tip, though: the makeup brush is not a requisite for the application. I find that the cheap ones work almost the same as their brush, although I prefer something that would last me for years. 😛

K-Palette Lasting 2Way Eyebrow Pencil 1 Day Tattoo

Hello! I’m typing this while I’m half awake in bed.. if you must know (I’m aware that you don’t but indulge me), in an attempt to get my ass to write every day, I went ahead and put everything from my drafts in queue. A day after doing so, I totally forgot all about it and I had to modify the post before this because it got published without any text at all! Ooops, my bad! 🙂

When I got my hair bleached and dyed blonde, I had to up my make up game since the blonde hair kind washes me out and enhances the flaws on my face. Boo! Aside from having to adjust to putting make up on every time I go out of the house, I had to switch eyebrow products as well as the one I own was too dark. I bought the lightest shade for this one from Beauty Bar for a discounted price that I no longer remember (selective memory retention meh).

It does serve its purpose of filling in my brows. I use the pencil applicator to outline my eyebrows and fill in with powder. However, you have to be careful in dispensing the pencil product because it’s very soft and breaks easily (click the second to the last photo to enlarge). I also had a bit of a hard time trying to create precise edges (like makeup artists do), because the pencil is not that sharp. Whenever I’m leaning towards the more natural look, though, I forego the use of pencil and lightly apply the powder instead. It’s very easy to use which is why I stuck with it until it ran out.. I did not restock though because I moved on to MUFE’s eyebrow product. 😛

(I suck at make up reviews, I’m sorry)
